Bahir Dar (seashore) is the capital of the Amhara Region It is one of the leading tourist destinations in Ethiopia with a variety of attractions on the nearby Lake Tana and the Blue Nile Falls. Bahir Dar is the third-largest town in Ethiopia after Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa and is situated on the outskirts of the famous Lake Tana. 564 km away from the capital Addis Ababa. Moreover, the source of the Blue Nile is also found in the Northern part of Bahir Dar Town.

Itinerary
welcoming at Bahir Dar Airport and transfer to Unison Hotel and Spa (four-star). After check-in, a morning tour would be started to visit Lake Tana monasteries mainly on the Zeghie peninsula Ura Kidanemihiret, Azewa Mariam, Btre Mariam and the two consecutive islands of Kibran Gabriel (men monastery) & Entons Eyesus of the medieval period, an outlet of Blue Nile River and lunch will be at Bahir Dar
In the afternoon
visit the Palace of Hale Sillassie (the best spot of Bahir Dar, Lake Tana, and the Blue Nile River that goes into the waterfall through the Palace which is under renovation and on the way back visit the open market of Bahir Dar where different local made leather products are available for sale; seats, shoes, tables…
overnight at Bahir Dar / Unison Hotel and Spa
After breakfast, travel to the Blue Nile Falls and the Portuguese Bridge. The fall is locally called Tis Abay or smoke of water that is created by the rapidly flowing water. The water Fall has a 45-meter height and 400-meter width. Hydro plant and seasonal variation make the water level vary. The waterfall is enriched by spectacular topography that resembles Egyptian pyramids and hot springs on the tip of the mountainous area. It's the place where you can imagine that natural beauty has no measure.
